What we collect
When you use the form: your message and, if you give them, your name and how we can reach you. You can write without giving your name. Please only include information about yourself or other people that is needed to understand your concern.
When you visit the website, the hosting provider records technical data in server log files (IP address, date and time, page visited, browser) to deliver the website securely. This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking.
Why, and on what legal basis
We use your message only to receive, register, look into and answer your question or concern under the grievance procedures of AFOREST CONGO and AGRICAF CONGO. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in handling the concerns of people affected by the projects, in line with IFC Performance Standard 1 (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The server log files are processed for the secure operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Who receives it
Only the people who need it to handle your concern: the ESG team and the management of asc impact and of AFOREST CONGO or AGRICAF CONGO, and specialist advisers bound to confidentiality where this is needed. Sensitive cases are handled with restricted access. The hosting provider processes data on our behalf. We do not pass on your data for any other purpose, and we only pass it to authorities where the law requires it or you agree.
Because the projects are in the Republic of the Congo, your concern is usually handled there by the local project company. Only the information needed to handle it is passed on.
How long we keep it
We keep your message and the record of how it was handled for the duration of the fund. After that it is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, or the restriction of its processing, and you can object to its processing (Art. 15 to 18 and 21 GDPR). Write to the e-mail address above. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
